In total, there are 9 multi-sigs for OpenDAO, and 6 out of 9 signatures are required to execute a transaction.
Multi-sigs are the guardians of the DAO vault. They will provide safety, security, and protection for all the funds entrusted to OpenDAO.
They will be required to execute on-chain transactions related to the OpenDAO treasury, including but not limited to the following: Sending ETH/Tokens, CSV airdrops, contract interactions and deploying smart contracts that have been audited.
There is currently no remunerations for being a multi-sig for OpenDAO, but this could be changed with a proposal passed by the DAO community.
As of now, the only compensation that a multi-sig may receive from the DAO is compensation of gas fees incurred while executing transactions.
Signing transactions do not incur any gas fees, only executing transaction does.
